My first evening in Bezručovy sady in Vinohrady

On the evening of 6 October 2026, I visited Bezručovy sady for the first time. I went there for an event I had been looking forward to and spent the evening in the park. The sky was clear and it was 20 °C. In the end, I was mainly glad that I had gone out.

Bezručovy sady is a public park in Prague 10, in the cadastral area of Vinohrady. It lies between Francouzská and Slovenská streets, and the park slopes down towards Francouzská. If you travel by tram, the municipal district lists Krymská and Ruská as the nearest stops. The park is therefore accessible from both sides, so you can choose a stop according to the direction you are coming from.

The park has a separate fenced children’s playground. Another fenced area contains an outdoor workout ground, which the municipal district says also has a toilet nearby. Bezručovy sady therefore suits families with children as well as people who want to exercise outdoors. If you are simply looking for a park in which to spend time outside, it is worth bearing the sloping terrain in mind.

The park was established around the turn of the 20th century. According to the municipal district, its most recent restoration took place in 2004 and 2005. On my first visit, however, neither the history nor the park’s facilities were my main focus. I came for the event, and that is what I associate this evening with.

My first experience is therefore not a complete picture of an ordinary day in Bezručovy sady. I cannot say from it how busy the park is during the day or how it is used outside events. I give this visit 4 out of 5. Nothing in particular bothered me, and I would return to explore the park at a different time of day.
